This episode is a celebration of 2 years with ZYIA Active as an independent representative and was a collaboration with other reps. An alternate title could easily be how selling activewear made me a podcast host!
How did we get here?
Odds are, if you’re reading this you are a podcast listener and may be surprised to hear I sold ZYIA Active as an independent representative first.
The podcast is a response to my Business Coach urging me to go deeper with my existing customers with a Facebook “VIP group”. I didn’t want to do a Facebook group, so here we are.
I told my friends and fellow ZYIA Active reps Ricci and Robbie from Leggings and Liquor all about it in their streaming show.
The below video is their trailer- I want you to see how adorable they are so you can put faces with the voices you’ll hear in my podcast!
I decided to air this one for my 2nd ZYIA anniversary because it is about me and allows my podcast audience to get to know me a bit more in a context adjacent to activewear in a community sense.
As you know, my podcast is not a ZYIA podcast; I’m a ZYIA rep and it’s a podcast that celebrates the Pillars of the company: uplift, community, activity, light.

I should note that I am not in Ricci or Robbie‘s “downline” and they are not in mine (read: we do not benefit financially from one another)- we simply enjoy supporting one another and this was a cool way to share audiences.
About that anniversary, though
Have you ever done that thing that doesn’t quite make sense at the moment but when you look back you have no regrets? That’s intuition.
Intuition does not require conscious reasoning. It’s that thing that makes you say yes or no without really understanding why.
It’s often a little bit scary because you are entering the unknown…

But guess what? It’s the unknown where we grow and we have a future full of possibilities.
This is exactly what happened to me when I decided to join ZYIA 2 years ago!
ZYIA is a party plan, meaning you are supposed to do Facebook parties. I didn’t really know that until I joined 🥴
I just knew I loved the clothes & wanted to work with my friend from SilverSneakers again 🤷🏼♀️
My intuition still said it was the right move when I started training and realized the expectation for being a brand rep was a lot different than what I intended to do.
And that’s the beauty of it. You can carve your own path!
Fast forward to today-I have a top 20 category podcast, partnerships with all sorts of cool brands, relationships with people I wouldn’t have any business hanging with otherwise, & a closet full of awesome clothes.

Here’s the thing, though: I am not successful by traditional network marketing standards. You’d look at ZYIA’s rank system and be like, “Yikes, what happened?!”
I joined at the same time as women who make 6 figures today. Same job.
I’ve diversified. Choose your own path (or adventure!), remember?
Cool story, bro…
What does this mean to you?
Clearly I am biased, but if your intuition is telling you to do something I think you should go for it!
Pssst- if it’s ZYIA Active or a podcast, I think we should chat!
